Join us for the 2nd public screening of the first ‘Kef Hayyak’ cohort’s films!

After an open call that invited aspiring documentarians in Jeddah to create a short film about their neighborhoods, the selected applicants screened their films to a professional jury committee from the Saudi film industry and 4 films were selected as winners to be part of ‘Red Sea Documentary Days’ a collaboration between Art Jameel & Red Sea Film Festival happening at Hayy Cinema in June 2024.

The winning titles are: Love Letter by Yazan Bakhsh, Buried Gold by Sadeem AlZahrani & Eithar AlGhamdi, Al Hamra Diaries by Reem AlBakri, Cats Dreaming in A Foreign Land by Cydel Gutierrez

All the 13 competing films will be screened for the second time at Hayy Cinema on June 20, 2024.Cinephiles, filmmakers and fans of local cinema are welcome to join the screening and to witness how the spirit of the neighborhoods of Jeddah is captured!

The event is for free to attend and rsvp is required. Doors open at 6:40pm.
