Hayy Sounds, in collaboration with the Saudi Music Hub, brings you one step closer to music education and exploration with monthly workshops!
Calling music enthusiasts, young people and those with a curiosity to learn about traditional and modern musical instruments, join us for a series of interactive workshops led by the Saudi Music Hub in Jeddah (under the Saudi Ministry of Culture’s Music Commission) at Hayy Jameel.
All workshops are free and open to all, and are aimed to support music education, exchange and collaboration between artists, educators and the wider community. Led by local and regional musicians, each workshop invites audiences of all ages and levels to explore instruments, rhythm, performance techniques and more.
Registration required; limited capacity. Please note, once full capacity is reached, the registration link will automatically close.
Please note that one instrument will be available on-site for demonstration and for attendees to try. However, we encourage everyone to bring their own instrument if they wish to participate more actively.

About the Tutors
Hussein Aljahmani is a Jordanian ney player and instructor with over 9 years of experience. He began his musical journey at 13 and holds a Master’s degree in Musical Arts from the University of Jordan with distinction. He has participated in numerous international and local festivals, winning several artistic competitions. Hussein is known for his passion, confidence, and dedication to sharing and exploring music in depth.
Elvin Najafov is a violinist and violist with a global career as a performer and educator. He has played in venues such as UNESCO Paris, Lincoln Center in Washington D.C., and the Azerbaijan State Philharmonic. A laureate of the “Music Without Limits” Festival, Elvin holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral-level degrees focusing on the historical and practical dimensions of string instruments. He currently teaches at the Saudi Music Hub in Jeddah.
Abdulraheem Dukhan is a violinist with 18 years of experience in teaching and performing both classical and Arabic violin. He has taught at several music institutions in Jordan, specializing in classical violin, music theory, and music history. Known for his structured and immersive approach, Abdulraheem brings a deep knowledge of violin pedagogy and performance.
Dr. Abeer Ibrahim is a vocal coach with expertise in operatic, eastern, and western singing. She has performed solo across prestigious venues including opera houses and cultural centers, and sings fluently in four languages. Abeer also leads children and youth choirs, earning recognition in group singing festivals.
Hashem Al-Ayoubi is a professional guitarist and instructor with over 10 years of teaching experience. He holds a formal guitar certification from Damascus and is a certified music trainer under the UK’s ABRSM program. Hashem specialises in flamenco guitar, electric guitar, and bass, and teaches using internationally recognised curricula including ABRSM and Trinity (Rock & Pop tracks).
Nawfel Maddar is a Tunisian oud and guitar player with over 20 years of experience. He studied at the National Institute of Music and Dance in Tunisia and earned a master’s degree in Music and Modern Technologies from Sorbonne University. Nawfel has contributed to film and TV soundtracks and performed at major international festivals. He has taught music in both public and private institutions since the age of 19.
Awwad Awwad is a Jordanian percussionist known for his versatility across Arabic, Turkish, and other regional rhythms. Born in 1993, he holds a Master’s in Music Education from the University of Jordan. Awwad has performed at festivals including Amman Jazz Festival, Cairo Opera House, and the Clarinet Festival in Turkey.
Sally Elsayed is an Egyptian pianist and professional music instructor with over 10 years of experience. A graduate of the Faculty of Music Education, she holds certifications in both music education and piano performance. Sally has taught students of all ages and nationalities across schools and music centers, guiding them toward professional-level proficiency. She has also trained at the London College of Music and received recognition for her contributions to music education.
Dr. Mahmoud Mukhaimer is an Egyptian pianist and music educator with over 30 years of experience in piano performance and teaching. He is a Professor of Piano at the Conservatoire – Academy of Arts in Cairo, and currently teaches as part of the Saudi National Orchestra and Choir (2023–2025) under the Music Commission, Ministry of Culture. Dr. Mekhemar has performed extensively at venues such as the Cairo Opera House and AUC’s Ewart Hall, and participated in festivals across Italy, Tunisia, Kuwait, Oman, Lebanon, Jordan, and Qatar. He has also served on juries for various piano competitions, including the Chopin and Creative Young Talent awards.
