Wild clay, foraged clay, local clay, native clay: there are many names for clay that is found and not bought from a store.
During this experimental clay workshop, you will look at varieties of foraged clay collected from the coast of Jeddah and the more mountainous Al Jouf, Saudi Arabia. We are going to walk through the process of washing and cleaning clay and noticing the things that make it up from seashells to stones and minerals. By the end of this session, you will understand steps to make natural clay ready for making your own projects.
You are invited to be a part of the clay washing and then making experience this Saturday, Nov 11 at Hayy Explorers!
Registration is recommended, walk-ins are welcome on a first come first serve basis. Please sign up using this link or the register button.
