Roshn’s Story

The Roshan represents one of the most characteristic aspects of traditional architecture in Hejaz (Saudi Arabia) and is a frequent feature in most of the historical Jeddah’s heritage buildings. The old city has witnessed continued degradation recently, which has caused the loss of its traditional architecture and hundreds of these heritage features despite the long-life efforts of some to preserve it.

The camels have been associated with the Arabian Peninsula and Saudi Arabia. In his short documentary HADI ALEES, director Abdullah Saharti ventures into the desert to explore the world of these creatures. He delves into the history of the camels in the Arabian desert, highlighting its influence on Saudi traditions and culture.
