Au cimetière de la pellicule (The Cemetery of Cinema) traces the director’s journey through the defunct cinemas and archives of Guinea to France in search of the 1953 lost film Mouramani (dir. Mamadou Touré), likely the first film made by a Guinean and one of the first films from sub-Saharan Africa.

Thierno Souleymane Diallo was born in Guinea. He studied at the ISAG in Dubréka. In 2012 he went to Niger to obtain a master’s degree specializing in creative documentary, and then a degree of documentary cinema in Senegal. He made several short movies during his studies. In 2015, he realized his first TV documentary film, produced by JPL Prod.
