‘Reading Between the Lines’ is a programme that explores the creative lives of modern Gulf Arab artists. Beginning with an exhibition tour of our ongoing exhibition ‘Redrawing the Boundaries: Art Movements and Collectives in the 20th Century Khaleej’ curated by guest curator Dr. Aisha Stoby, the session will guide participants through a reading series of primary source documents.
The readings will draw from the anthology ‘Modern Art in the Arab World: Primary Documents’, bringing to life critical essays, letters, and diaries from artists featured in the ‘Redrawing the Boundaries’ exhibition. The session will be led by Suzy Sikorski, founder of MEA, who will share her expertise on modern art from the GCC.
This programme will be delivered in EN.
