Join us for the jury screening of the 2nd round of “Kef Hayyak?” cohort’s films!
“Kef Hayyak?” is a unique documentary filmmaking challenge that invites aspiring filmmakers to capture the essence of their neighborhoods in Jeddah through their own lens—using only their phones.
After an open call in February 2025, 18 participants were selected based on their creative proposals and trained in the basics of documentary filmmaking with a phone.
The films will be presented to a professional jury from the international and Saudi film industry, who will select three winners to have their films showcased as part of Red Sea Documentary Days, a collaboration between Art Jameel and the Red Sea International Film Festival, taking place at Hayy Cinema in May 2025. Additionally, two winners will be chosen for a private screening at Hayy Cinema.
Cinephiles, filmmakers, and fans of local representation are invited to join the screening and witness how the vibrant spirit of Jeddah’s neighborhoods has been captured!
The event is free to attend, but RSVP is required. Doors open at 6:40pm.
