In collaboration with the Consulate General of United States of America in Jeddah, Hayy Sounds presents DTB, a Brooklyn-based trio full of busking spirit whose sound is a blend of bluegrass, swing, jazz, blues and folk bringing a fresh edge to classic string-band music!  

With unmatched energy, charm and vocals, the band will delve into their creative process and be joined by a local musician for a musical collaboration. The music events, open and free to all, include:

About

Sasha Dubyk is a Brooklyn-based vocalist and bassist whose versatility spans bluegrass, jazz, folk, and theater. A Berklee graduate in Music Therapy and African Studies, she tours internationally with Damn Tall Buildings and The Klezmeranians while also co-founding Crown Heights Music School and launching a women’s community choir. As a U.S. Cultural Ambassador, she shares American music abroad, recently performing and teaching in Ethiopia. Both on stage and in the classroom, Sasha champions music as a tool for connection and community.

Max Capistran is a Brooklyn-based guitarist, songwriter, and educator blending roots traditions with modern storytelling. A Berklee summa cum laude graduate in Songwriting, he is the frontman and primary songwriter of Damn Tall Buildings, known for their high-energy performances across the U.S. and abroad. Beyond performing, Max founded Crown Heights Music School, where he mentors musicians of all ages. His role as a U.S. Cultural Ambassador has brought him around the world, sharing American music and fostering cultural exchange through workshops and performances.

Avery Ballotta is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and vocalist from Bozeman, Montana, now based in Brooklyn. A lifelong fiddler, he studied film scoring at Berklee College of Music and trained with leading fiddle masters, honing both technical fluency and expressive storytelling. His work has taken him across the world as a U.S. Cultural Ambassador, using music to build dialogue across cultures. Whether on stage, in the studio, or teaching, Avery blends tradition and innovation, creating music that resonates deeply and connects people through sound.
