Hayy Explorers: Opening Programme

The opening season of Hayy Explorers takes inspiration from the upcoming Hayy Arts exhibition as well as it looks at landscapes, seascapes, coastal areas, and movement in between both. These themes also fall in line with the Explorers philosophy of observing, experimenting, and discovering the world around us with all our faculties and then creating by being inspired from it.

Join us for our opening weekend programme including a selection of walk-in activities, workshops, screenings, performances, and an ice cream pop-up!

Fantastical Forest	All day HAYY SAHA	Adding a touch of surrealism and fantasy within the natural plants at Hayy, these papier mache objects invite children and adults alike to add pops of colour to them.
Sound Explorations	All day HAYY SAHA	Hand-pan performances and interactive sound explorations by Raif Bukhari
Shifting Sands	All day HAYY EXPLORERS	An interactive sensory experience introducing children to shifting topologies and landscapes.
Hand-pan Performance	All day HAYY SAHA	An uplifting melody experience by Raif Bukhari.
Woven Wonders	All day HAYY EXPLORERS	This group weaving activity invites visitors to work together to create a tapestry of textiles.
Hues of The Earth	All day HAYY EXPLORERS	Discover the world of natural pigments which can be made of earth, plants, and even insects! This educational display is paired with a printing activity led by artist and alchemist Ammar Jiman.
Seashell Jars	All day HAYY EXPLORERS	Take the sea home with you through this hands-on plaster workshop designed to enhance children’s creative skills and introduce them to various materials and tools from our surrounding environment.
At the Cinema!	All day HAYY EXPLORERS	Stop by Hayy Cinema for a series of short films exploring the our relationship with the natural world!
Fennec: Explore your drama Magic!	Time: Saturday 28th of October, 5:00pm – 6:00pm FENNEC	Get your moment in the spotlight with Mostafa Kamal Nofa (PHD in Education) and explore the magic of acting through fun exercises and activities.
Al Mohtaraf: Storybook Reading	Saturday 28th of October, AL MOHTARAF	Join Al Mohtaraf in a live reading of their book series ‘ The Prophet’s Storybook’
