A children’s walkthrough of the exhibition, Silent Hands, and a mask-making workshop. Children will make masks inspired by Khairullah’s pigeon masks using found objects from the Hayy Jameel vicinity.
About The Instructors: 
Jean Wong

Jean Wong is an artist, curator, and educator based in Philadelphia, PA. Speaking from the position of a Singaporean woman, Jean’s work illuminates the role of Southeast Asian developmental projects in regional and global economics, paying close attention to issues of labour. Jean is also a teaching artist specialising in liberative classroom pedagogies. She empowers her students to use drawing and painting tools for close looking, critical thinking, and empathetic study.

Khairullah Rahim

Khairullah Rahim is a Singapore-based artist working across mixed-media installation,  object-making, painting, photography and moving images. He is a graduate of Rutgers  University (New Jersey, US) with an MFA in Visual Arts from Mason Gross School of the  Arts in 2022; and received a BA in Fine Arts (First Class Honours) from LASALLE College  of the Arts (Singapore) in 2013, where he currently teaches as an adjunct lecturer.
