How can big ideas in art be made accessible to younger audiences?
In this workshop, illustrator Omamah Ashmeel invites participants to actively explore how illustration can simplify and reframe complex concepts for children. Drawing from her experience creating the Youth Guide for the ‘Redrawing the Boundaries’ exhibition, she will give a brief introduction to her process before guiding participants through hands-on activities. Together, participants will experiment with sketching, brainstorming symbols, and creating illustrations that translate big themes into engaging, accessible visuals. Through guided exercises and group sharing, you’ll learn simple techniques for turning abstract concepts into playful drawings.
No prior art experience is needed, just curiosity and imagination. This programme will be delivered in EN.
