Graphic Design Intern
Description
Art Jameel is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Graphic Designer to join its in-house design team. The Graphic Designer will play a key role in supporting Hayy Jameel’s Audience Team by developing and executing creative materials across digital and physical platforms. This position bridges design with audience engagement—ensuring cohesive, high-quality visual communication across exhibitions, events, marketing campaigns, and visitor experience touchpoints.
Accountability
The Junior Graphic Designer for Hayy Jameel will report to the Senior Graphic Designer on all technical and design-related matters, and to the Audience Team (Marketing Senior Manager) on marketing, visitors experience and communications deliverables.
Responsibilities and Duties
Brand & Visual Identity
- Develop and apply Hayy Jameel and Art Jameel’s brand guidelines across all departments.
- Create consistent design collateral, templates, and visual assets for institutional use.
- Ensure all design materials meet quality, accessibility, and institutional standards.
Digital & Print Design
- Design and prepare digital assets for campaigns, including social media, email newsletters, web visuals, and press kits.
- Produce and adapt print materials such as brochures, invitations, signage, and internal collateral.
On-Ground & Environmental Design
- Support the design and installation of exhibition graphics (wall texts, labels, wayfinding, signage).
- Translate branding into on-ground event materials (banners, booth graphics, installations, etc.).
- Ensure all wayfinding and signage meet clarity, accessibility, and brand standards.
Coordination & Production
- Liaise with printers, fabricators, and signage vendors to ensure quality production and delivery.
- Assist in on-site installations and deinstallations, ensuring graphics are produced, installed, and documented to standard.
Documentation & Systems
- Organize and maintain the design drive, ensuring assets are properly archived and easy to retrieve.
- Support the development, documentation, and regular updating of brand guidelines to ensure clarity and consistency across applications.
- Maintain consistency with design workflows, file naming protocols, and capacity tracking systems.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field.
- 1–2 years of professional experience in design (preferably in art, culture, or events).
- Available for a full-time 6-month internship between Dec 2026 and May 2026.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects a plus).
- Strong attention to detail, layout, typography, and visual storytelling.
- Experience with environmental and print production processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and collaborate across departments.
- Fluent in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus).
- Saudi Nationals or Saudi residency holders
Conditions of Work
- 6-month internship based at Hayy Jameel, Jeddah (Dec-May)
- Occasional weekend and evening work according to events and programmes is as required
- Start Date: Dec, 2025
