Learning and Research Internship | August 2025

Job Description 

The primary focus of this role is to support the Learning team at Hayy, contributing to the development and execution of engaging programmes for children, youth and beyond. The role also includes collaborating with the learning team on various educational initiatives and occasional weekend work to support program delivery.

Accountability 

The Intern reports to the Learning and Research Department at Hayy.

Responsibilities and Duties

General

• Support the development, implementation, and facilitation of various learning programmes and initiatives.
• Assist the Learning team with organising walk-ins and preparing thematic programmes for weekend shifts at Hayy Explorers.
• Prepare for and facilitate children’s programmes during weekend shifts, including space upkeep and opening/closing procedures to ensure materials are well organised.
• Conduct Hayy Arts tours for visiting children, families, and schools, guiding them through learning kits and related activities.
• Actively monitor learning and research updates, ensuring they are reflected on the Hayy Jameel website in collaboration with the Communications team.
• Maintain and update the internal learning calendar.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

• University student or recent graduate
• Available for a full-time 3-month internship between Aug 2025 and Oct 2025
• Ability to handle administrative tasks, including updating learning content on websites and drafting clear, concise summaries of notes and reports.
• Open to collaboration and working with researchers and educators and artists across different institutions
• Enthusiastic about engaging with young people and supporting education initiatives.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent time management, communication (verbal and written), and organisation skills
• Passion for arts, books, children and youth arts programming, and arts research/education
• Saudi Nationals or Saudi residency holders
• English and Arabic fluency
• Drivers license is a plus

Conditions of Work

• 3-month internship based at Hayy Jameel, Jeddah
• Occasional weekend and evening work according to workload is also required
