Accountability

Reports to the Communications and Marketing Managers

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist in the organisation of social media planning,  scheduling and posting, the website and all public-facing channels.
  • Create and edit bilingual communications copy (e.g. social media posts, newsletter, website…etc).
  • Monitor social media engagement, respond to comments and messages, and flag key interactions.
  • Assist in coverage of live events, capturing and posting real-time content as needed.
  • Support in research, development and community management of social media, and keeping up with all the latest trends and styles. 
  • Support in proofreading text in Arabic and English.
  • Offer administrative support to communications projects including updating database, upload and crediting images in the Art Jameel growing visual library. As well as help in preparing performance reports (social media analytics, audience insights, etc.).
  • Help to maintain website content with a focus on Arabic and assisting the team in ensuring the homepage is user friendly and provides the necessary information in the visitor’s journey to and through Hayy Jameel
  • Conduct Hayy Arts tours for visiting artists, journalists and collaborators.
  • Working with the team on ensuring the Visitor Experience team are equipped with the latest information about Hayy Jameel programmes and producing bilingual scripts for guided tours.

Working days: The role requires a 5-day workweek, with occasional shifts on Fridays and Saturdays to support public programmes. Evening shifts may also be required depending on event timings, and scheduling will be discussed in advance with the direct manager.

Qualifications and Experience

  • University student or recent graduate with a background in Marketing, Digital Marketing , Communications, or a related field.
  • Available full-time during the internship
  • Proactivity and a passion for taking initiative
  • Strong communications (verbal and written) skills and a positive and welcoming attitude
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Passion for arts and arts education
  • Saudi Nationals or Saudi residency holders
  • Fluent in English and Arabic (spoken and written
  • Skills in graphic design, photography, and videography are a plus.
  • Working Conditions
  • 3 months paid work experience based at Hayy Jameel, Jeddah
  • Weekend shifts are expected with lieu days provided midweek
